  Miss you A dramatic scene for two women By: Holland Stull Characters Paige: A young woman dealing with a great tragedy Lacey: Paige's sister dealing with things differently Lacey sits at a table looking through some papers. Paige walks into the room in workout gear having just come home from a run.  Paige: You’re up. Lacey: Yep. She takes off her jacket and grabs some food and starts to fix it for herself at the table across from Lacey. They don’t acknowledge each other at all. Paige sits down and starts to eat. Her knees are pulled up to her chest and she stares off. She has a small tattered stuffed animal tucked under her arm. Another woman enters the room but stays far away from the girl. The woman has a clipboard with a bunch of papers on it. She looks through them, occasionally glancing at the girl. She sits down on a chair across the room from the girl.  Natalie: Hi there. The girl ignores her. Natalie: Hi.  (beat) Natalie: My name’s Natalie. Can you tell me yours? (beat) Natalie: They tell me that you were found in the woods. (beat) Do you want to tell me about it?   Alone A dramatic scene for two women By: Holland Stull  A screen separates two girls. One sits at a desk. One has her back turned to the audience at the start of the piece.  She turns around. Kate is panicked. She freaks out for a moment. She paces back and forth. On the other side of the screen, Jacey scrolls on a computer. She has a headset on. She takes a call on her headset, she pantomimes the call. Eventually she hangs up. Kate sits down and runs her hands through her hair. She breaks down for a moment before standing up and grabbing her phone from a nearby table. All of this happens simultaneously. She contemplates for a moment before dialing a number.
