Tomorrow A dramatic scene for two women  By: Holland Stull Characters Kyra: A young woman who's struggling with her realtionship Abigail: Kyra's roommate who's gone through some struggle and is trying to help Kyra avoid the same problems Kyra walks into the room through the front door. She walks past the couch where Abigail is sitting and turns her head subtly away from her as she passes. She walks over to the dining table and puts down her purse and keys, leaving her back to Abigail. Abigail looks up from the book that shes reading as Kyra passes. She stares at her back for a moment.  Abigail: How was it? Kyra startles a little at Abigails voice. She stays facing away from her. She busies herself looking at some mail on the table.  Kyra: It was fine. Fun. It was fun.  Abigail: Really?   Miss you A dramatic scene for two women By: Holland Stull Characters Paige: A young woman dealing with a great tragedy Lacey: Paige's sister dealing with things differently Lacey sits at a table looking through some papers. Paige walks into the room in workout gear having just come home from a run.  Paige: You’re up. Lacey: Yep. She takes off her jacket and grabs some food and starts to fix it for herself at the table across from Lacey. They don’t acknowledge each other at all. Paige sits down and starts to eat. Eventually Lacey looks up.  Lacey: Good run? Paige: It was fine. Lacey rolls her eyes and goes back to looking at her papers.  Paige: What lace? Lacey: What? Paige: What was that look for? Lacey: What look? Paige: The look you just gave me.  Lacey: I didn’t g- Paige: Come on Lacey.  (beat) Lacey: You’re just so normal. Paige: Okay… Lacey: Considering everything, I don’t think you should be this normal.  Paige: We’re different people Lace. I’m gonna deal with things differ

  Two A dramatic scene for two women By: Holland Stull Characters Natalie: A young counselor who consults for the police department May: A traumatized young woman who has escaped her kidnapper A girl sits on the floor next to a chair. Her knees are pulled up to her chest and she stares off. She has a small tattered stuffed animal tucked under her arm. Another woman enters the room but stays far away from the girl. The woman has a clipboard with a bunch of papers on it. She looks through them, occasionally glancing at the girl. She sits down on a chair across the room from the girl.  Natalie: Hi there. The girl ignores her. Natalie: Hi.  (beat) Natalie: My name’s Natalie. Can you tell me yours? (beat) Natalie: They tell me that you were found in the woods. (beat) Do you want to tell me about it? Do you know how you got there? (beat)  Natalie: There are people here who want to help you, but we need to know more about you.  (beat) the girl does not respond.  Natalie: That’s a nice animal

Alone

  Alone A dramatic scene for two women By: Holland Stull  A screen separates two girls. One sits at a desk. One has her back turned to the audience at the start of the piece.  She turns around. Kate is panicked. She freaks out for a moment. She paces back and forth. On the other side of the screen, Jacey scrolls on a computer. She has a headset on. She takes a call on her headset, she pantomimes the call. Eventually she hangs up. Kate sits down and runs her hands through her hair. She breaks down for a moment before standing up and grabbing her phone from a nearby table. All of this happens simultaneously. She contemplates for a moment before dialing a number. Jacey gets the call and answers the phone.  (TAKE YOUR TIME ON THIS BEGINNING PART. WE REALLY WANT TO SEE KATES PANIC AND INTENSITY HERE. A LARGE INTERNAL STRUGGLE IS HAPPENING.) Jacey: 911.
